U.S. Marine Lt. Col. Wilfred Rivera, left, presents Cpl. Jeffery S. Salois with a meritorious mast during a graduation ceremony for the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Corporals Course class 3-15 aboard the USS Rushmore (LSD 47). Rivera is the commanding officer of Combat Logistics Battalion 15, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Salois is a team leader with Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th MEU. During corporals course, the Marines learned a variety of things including leadership skills, sword manual, Marine Corps history, and combat conditioning skills. The 15th MEU is embarked on the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
