Col F. Fridriksson

Colonel Fridriksson enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1991 and attended Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, School of Infantry- West, upon designation as a 0311, he served at Marine Barracks Guam, then served in 3rd Battalion 7th Marine Regiment as a Fire Team Leader and Squad Leader.  

 

Commissioned through the Marine Commissioning Program, he graduated Officer Candidates School, The Basic School and Infantry Officers Course. He served with 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion and Battalion Landing Team 1/4.

 

As a Captain he served at The Basic School as a Staff Platoon Commander and Company Executive Officer; Company Commander for India Company, 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment. As a Major he served as Operations Officer for 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment; Commanding Officer for Security Company, Marine Barracks 8th and I, and as a JIEDDO Team Leader serving with the US Army’s 10th Mountain Division in Iraq. As a LtCol, he served as Executive Officer for Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division; Marjah Cell OIC; Commanding Officer Battalion Landing Team 3/1; Faculty Advisor at Marine Corps Command and Staff and served as the LtCol Ground Monitor.  As a Colonel, he commanded Task Force Al Asad and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, then served as the Director of Tactical Training Exercise Control Group (TTECG).  He took command of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit in 2021. 

 

Colonel Fridriksson is a graduate of USMC Sergeant’s Course, US Army Calvary Leaders Course, US Army Advanced Armor Course, Marine Corps Command and Staff College and the Marine Corps War College.
