Trevor L. Goff was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and joined the Marine Corps January 28th, 2002. He attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego.
Sergeant Major Goff Assumed his current duties as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit in July of 2025. Throughout his career, Sergeant Major Goff has served with: Marine Wing Support Squadron-271, Headquarters Battalion 1st Marine Division, 2d Battalion 7th Marines, Marine Forces Special Operations Command, 5th Battalion 11th Marines, 1st Marine Logistics Group, 2d Marine Raider Battalion, 1st Marine Raider Battalion, 3d Battalion 4th Marines and I Marine Expeditionary Force Support Battalion.
Sergeant Major Goff has served as a Marine Security Guard at the American Embassy Lisbon, Portugal and American Embassy Bogota, Colombia. He also has served as a Career Counselor at Headquarters Marine Corps and as a Personnel Exchange with the Royal Marines at Commando Training Centre Royal Marines in the United Kingdom.
Sergeant Major Goff has deployed to Kuwait and subsequently Iraq in January of 2003 (MWSS-271), Afghanistan in 2008 (2d Battalion 7th Marines) and 2013 (5th Battalion 11th Marines), East Africa in 2020-2021(8210 MSOC F, 2d Marine Raider Battalion), Rim of the Pacific 2022 (3d Battalion 4th Marines), Unit Deployment Program (UPD) 23.1 to Okinawa 2022-2023 (3d Battalion 4th Marines) and most recently to BALIKATAN 24 & 25 Philippines (I MEF Support Battalion).
His personal decorations include: The Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (Gold star in lieu of forth award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, and the Basic Parachutist Badge.
