Col. B.D. Beaudrault
Brigadier General Beaudreault graduated from the University of Massachusetts and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in May 1983. After completing The Basic School with honors and the Infantry Officers Course, he reported to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines at Kaneohe Bay, HI. From 1984-1987 he served as a platoon commander and company executive officer and executed two unit deployments to Okinawa.

From 1987-1990 he served as the guard officer at Marine Corps Security Force Company Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico. He attended the Amphibious Warfare School at Quantico, VA in 1990 and graduated with honors. In 1991 he was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines where he served as the assistant operations officer, battalion logistics officer, and was the maritime special purpose force commander and a rifle company commander with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit during Operation RESTORE HOPE in Somalia. From 1993 to 1995 he was assigned as the Inspector-Instructor for K Company, 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marines in Memphis, TN.

In 1995 he attended the Army Command and General Staff College and was subsequently assigned as the Ground Plans Officer, Operations Directorate, U.S. Central Command from 1996-1999. During his CENTCOM tour he attended the Joint Forces Staff College and was designated a joint qualified officer.

From 1999-2001 he was assigned as the operations officer for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and deployed to East Timor in support of Operation STABILISE. During June 2001, he transferred to Camp Pendleton, CA and assumed the duties as executive officer for the 1st Marine Regiment. He commanded 1st Battalion, 1st Marines from April 2002 to April 2004. Battalion Landing Team 1/1 deployed as the ground combat element of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit and conducted operations on the Al Faw peninsula in support of Multinational Division-Southeast, Iraq.

In 2005 he graduated from the Naval War College with Highest Distinction and received an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies. He assumed command of the 15th MEU in August 2005. The 15th MEU deployed with the Boxer Strike Group from September 2006-May 2007 and operated under Multinational Forces-West in Anbar Province, Iraq. The 15th MEU also deployed with the Peleliu Strike Group to the Central Command region from May-November 2008 where they served as the theater reserve force. He relinquished command during December 2008. From January-April 2009, Brigadier General Beaudreault attended the United Kingdom's Higher Command and Staff Course and the Defense Strategic Leadership Program at the UK Defense Academy in Shrivenham, England. During June 2009 he transferred to Quantico, VA and served as the Director of the Expeditionary Warfare School.

During July 2010, he assumed his current duties as the Deputy Commander for Marine Forces Central Command.
