(Dec. 7, 2012) Major Mark T. Schnakenberg, staff judge advocate, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, briefs the rules of engagement to Marines with Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team 3/5, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, in the hangar bay of the USS Peleliu, Dec. 7. Kilo Company will be going ashore to participate in a multilateral exercise with 15th MEU, French Foreign Legion, U.S. Army and Djiboutian military, titled Exercise Amitie. The 15th MEU is deployed as part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group as a U.S. Central Command theater reserve force, providing support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
