The ship hosted a Super Bowl party for its Marines and sailors as a way to help them decompress and enjoy some of the comforts of home while being forward deployed. The 15th MEU is deployed as part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group as a U.S. Central Command theater reserve force, providing support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. Toomer, 24, is from Miami, Law, 23, is from Laredo, Texas, and Burns, 24, is from Detroit.
