GULF OF ADEN (July 1, 2015) U.S. Marine Master Sgt. Jomoore Toney, far left, and 1st Sgt. Sasha Dix, far right, pin new rank insignia onto Gunnery Sgt. Carlos Gonzalez during his promotion ceremony on the forecastle of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23). All are members of Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Anchorage is part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
