ARABIAN GULF (July 20, 2015) U.S. Marine Cpl. Drake Hayes treats a simulated casualty while rehearsing combat lifesaving skills during a mass casualty response exercise aboard the dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47). Hayes is a military policeman with Combat Logistics Battalion 15, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Marines with CLB-15 rehearsed responding to enemy contact, treating simulated casualties, and calling in medical evacuations. The Marines of the CLB-15 are the logistics combat element of the 15th MEU which is embarked on the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and is deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
