GULF OF OMAN (Oct. 29, 2015) An MV-22 Osprey with Medium Marine Tiltrotor Squadron 161 (Reinforced), 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, departs the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). The Marines practiced shooting an M240 medium machine gun from the Osprey to familiarize themselves with the weapon and enhance their marksmanship. The 15th MEU, embarked on the ships of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
