Sgt. Emmanuel T. Martinez, radio supervisor, Command Element, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, connects a helium balloon to the transmitter of a Combat SkySat communication system at Camp Pendleton, Calif., March 29. The SkySat system is used to retransmit UHF signals to increases the range of communication up to 600 miles in diameter and expands the capabilities of the Marine Air Ground Task Force.
