Navy Lt. Cmdr. David D. Dinkins, chaplain, Command Element, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, brought a chalice, a crucifix, a bible and a pix to the field in order to host religious services away from home for his unit’s Marines and sailors, here, April 8. While training is the number one priority, seven religious services were held to allow the servicemembers to practice their faith even though they are away from home during MEU Exercise. Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise is designed to train the unit as a Marine Air Ground Task Force in preparation for their upcoming deployment. Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise is the first exercise that integrates all elements of the Marine Air Ground Task Force.
