Master Sgt. Jason C. Topp, operations chief, Combat Logistics Battalion 15, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, coaches Petty Officer 3rd Class Erin Wolford, culinary specialist, Ship’s Company, USS Rushmore, in marksmanship principles during a live-fire rifle shoot on the flight deck of the USS Rushmore, Sept. 27. During the 15th MEU and Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group’s Western Pacific deployment, the Marines and sailors decided to let loose a few rounds in order to find their battle sight zero and ensure their M16A4 and M4A1 service rifles were functioning properly. Topp, 41, is from Marblehead, Mass. and Wolford, 25, is from Bloomingdale, Mich.
