The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit returns, but it isn't your typical homecoming.

The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit is home after an 8 month deployment 
in the Western Pacific. 2000 marines and sailors were reunited with loved 
ones today.  The Marine helicopter squadron made quite an entrance here 
at Air Station Camp Pendleton.

2,000 Marines and Sailors are back home with their families tonight.  
The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit landed at Miramar this afternoon. 
Their deployment included stops in Thailand, Bali, Australia, Jordan,
and Hong Kong.  They conducted exercises for regional security and crisis 
response.

A happy homecoming at Camp Pendleton for members of the
15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. They're returning home from an
eight-month deployment in the Western Pacific and Middle East. 
Their tour included stops in Australia and Hong Kong. They 
will arrive at Naval Base San Diego tomorrow.

Posthumous Navy Cross Awarded to Marine
